About the Author
Glenn Daman was raised on a farm in northern Idaho and grew up in a small Village Missions church in the rural community of Tensed, Idaho. He is a graduate of Western Seminary (M.A. in Old Testament and M.A. in New Testament) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min.). He has served for over 32 years as a pastor in rural and small town churches in Montana, Oregon and Washington, currently serving for the past 28 years as the Pastor of River Christian Church in Stevenson, WA. He served as the Director for Leadership Development at Village Missions. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of Village Missions. He is the author of five books, Shepherding the Small Church (Silver Medallion Winner), Leading the Small Church, Developing Leaders in the Small Church, When Shepherds Weep, and The Forgotten Ministry: Why Rural Ministry Matters for Every Church Today (Christianity Today: Book of Merit Award, 2019; Outreach Magazine: Recommended Resource in the Church Category, 2019). He has also written numerous articles on rural and small town ministry and taught courses on rural ministry in a number of Bible Colleges and Seminaries in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines and Russia. He enjoys camping, woodworking and driving tractor on the family farm.
